As of October 2015, Darkness to Light has trained ONE MILLION adults on how to protect children from child sexual abuse. The Stewards of Children® training is known as the number one prevention curriculum in the nation and has been proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and change child-protective behaviors. This revolutionary program is for all responsible adult who care about the welfare of children. It is appropriate for youth-serving organizations, sports groups, day care centers, after school programs, children's clubs, schools, church groups and anywhere children are present and cared for.

 Currently there is no funding allocated for child sexual abuse prevention training for educators. Darkness to Light has authorized facilitators ready to bring this training to schools and youth-serving organizations. They will help you and your organization learn how to recognize, respond and react responsibility to the epidemic of child sexual abuse.

On June 4, 2015, Oregon passed Erin’s Law that requires education for all students from kindergarten through the 12th grade to have appropriate child sexual abuse prevention instruction. (Click for the text of the Oregon Benchmarks) 

This wonderful and progressive law has been needed for generations and will help change the perception of child sexual abuse.  The consequences of another’s choice should not be paid by our children.
